Attracting new patients to your medical spa is a key part of growing your business, but finding them can be easier said than done. To help, we’ve compiled a list of six marketing tactics you can use to help grow your patient following. 

Keep in mind, you don’t have to implement them all. Start by choosing a couple of items to focus on, and watch your practice scale effectively. 

  1. Take a look at what’s working 

Before you look to enhance your marketing strategy, look into what tactics you are already running and what is working (and what isn’t). Check to see where most of your patients are coming from, whether it’s through your website, phone, events, email, social media, or paid advertising. 

Also perform an audit of your website and offer programs to see what topics are getting the most views and clicks. Consider investing more resources into any items that standout.

  1. Encourage online reviews

In today’s world, online reviews are just as powerful as word of mouth referrals. If you’re looking to set yourself apart from competitors, it’s important that you pay attention to your online profile. 

Make it easy for your patients to leave you a review by reminding them to do so when they’re at your practice, passing out business cards, and sending emails. You can even incentive this behavior by providing a small discount or product sample in exchange for a review.

  1. Make it easier for your patients to promote your med spa 

Help your patients promote your practice by encouraging them to tag your social media accounts while they’re at your office. For instance, you can offer free swag when a customer tags your practice in an Instagram story or post. 

Consider taking this a step further by requesting to take video content or gather testimonials. Just make sure to get the patient’s consent first.

We’ve talked about using aesthetic membership programs to drive patient loyalty, but have you thought about implementing a program that incentives referrals? Consider offering reward credits or discounts to patients that refer a friend. The more they refer, the more they earn! Open houses and special events provide a unique opportunity for you to show off your practice, staff, and offerings with the outside world. They allow you to establish relationships with new patients, show live demos of your services, and promote products in an organic way that builds trust. 

Provide plenty of notice about your event, invite patients to bring their friends, and make a night of it with small bites and cocktails, complementary treatments, and goodie bags. Don’t forget to get the contact information of every person that walks through the door, and have your front-desk staff follow-up accordingly!
